Abstract

Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) is used widely for phase-conjugation of laser beams in systems consisting of a master oscillator and amplifier. However, in such case two laser arc needed, which complicates considerably the assembly of an optical system as well as its use. It would be interest to investigate the possibility of formation of high quality radiation directly in a laser with a nonlinear mirror. The first such attempt for excimer laser was reported in Ref. [1].
