Abstract

Self-pumped phase-conjugate (SPPC) gain media loop resonators present attractive features including dynamic correction of intracavity phase aberrations, and high extraction capabilities [1]. High-gain diode-pumped Nd:YAG amplifiers, because of their compactness and their high efficiencies, offer attractive potential for use in such resonators. In this paper, we present for the first time a SPPC diode-pumped Nd:YAG loop resonator operated in both injected and self-starting versions.
