Abstract
Intra Cavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (ICLAS) is one of the most sensitive techniques for gas absorption measurements. This technique is based on the high sensitivity of a highly multimode laser to very weak spectrally selective intracavity losses during the start-up of the laser generation. The observed spectrum is equivalent to the one obtained in classical absorption with an equivalent path length given by Leq = c. tg (c is the velocity of the light and tg the time of the observation).
