Abstract

Using stimulated Brillouin-scattering (SBS) in glass fibers as phase-conjugating process, the field of application of SBS phase-conjugators [1,2] can be expanded, because fibers offer a decreased power threshold and a stable behaviour even at high input energies. Furthermore, the damage threshold of the fiber lies above 500MWcm−2. Figure 1 shows the experimental set-up for our investigations.
