Abstract
In the last few years there has been increasing interest in frequency doublers used as powerful light sources at wavelengths that are not directly accessible by suitable lasers. One important goal is to reach high conversion efficiencies; about 50% or more was achieved in several experiments,1-4 most of them using LiNbO3(often doped with MgO) because of its high nonlinear coefficient and the uncritical type-I phase-matching for 1064/532 nm.
