Abstract

Double phase conjugate mirror (DPCM)1 being an effective and widely used scheme to conjugate beams of different laser sources is still a puzzle from the viewpoint of a mechanism of its operation in PC mode. In this report we present experimental and theoretical arguments which undoubtedly indicate that an intermediate fanning is responsible for PC mode of DPCM.
