Abstract

As has been demonstrated in previous investigations,1,2 Nd:YAG laser-pumped optical parametric oscillators (OPO) of beta-barium borate (BBO) are powerful all-solid-state sources of coherent radiation with a large tuning range (300–3000 nm), high internal conversion efficiency (60–70%), and high output energies (100–200 mJ). Narrowband operation was achieved by injection seeding with low power monochromatic radiation.3
