Abstract

Recently developed 3-µm lasers on erbium- and holmium-doped crystals are of great interest for laser physics and biomedicine. Achieving the frequency operating mode and increase of the pulse repetition rate for pulse-periodic mode are urgent. However, there are still unsolved problems of the studies of such 3-µm lasers.
