Abstract
In recent years a new simple method of single-frequency operation of solid-state lasers has been realized1 and studied theoretically.2 The technique requires short absorption length at pump wavelength and purely homogeneously broadened laser transition. In this paper, we report about single frequency operation experiments and theoretical consideration of a laser with partially inhomogeneously broadened line.
