Abstract
There is a growing need on mesoscale studies of dynamic and radiative processes in the atmosphere to better understand and model its evolution for meteorological and environmental purposes. To answer it, new observational programmes have been developed, aiming at scale integration analysis. The French research programme LEANDRE is one of these programmes. It supported by the National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS) and by the French Space Research Centre (CNES). It can be considered as one of the steps toward the future implementation of lidar systems on space platforms for climatological studies.
