Abstract
Praseodymium ions (Pr3+) exhibit very rich fluorescence radiation in the visible range.1 However, applications of flash-lamp-pumped Pr3+ lasers were restricted by the low slope efficiency, which results mainly from the narrow spectral range of Pr3+ absorption due to only three-four narrow lines in the spectral range of 420–480 nm.2,3
