Toward Optical Authentication with Laser-induced Periodic Surface Structures on Metals

Abstract

By constructing structurally colorized images on metals with femtosecond laser-induced periodic structures (fs-LIPSSs), we demonstrate the color variations of fs-LIPSSs with a broad angular range of illumination incidence can be used for optical authentication.
