GHz Harmonic Mode Locked Fiber Laser by Using an Over-coupled Long Period Fiber Grating Based Saturable Absorber

Abstract

We demonstrated a harmonic mode-locked fiber laser by using saturable absorber based on interaction of over-coupled long period fiber grating and carbon nanotubes. Maximum repetition rate of 2.416 GHz was obtained with 15 mW output.
