Maximally Polarization Entangled Photons on a Chip

Abstract

Spontaneous parametric downconversion in Bragg reflection waveguides is shown to produce maximally polarization-entangled photons by making the group velocities of TE-/TM-polarized downconverted photons, and thus their spectral properties, similar.
