Abstract

We fabricated 2-dimensional THz metamaterial to manipulate the Fano resonance. We adopted a double-split ring resonator (DSRR) metaparticle possessing polarization-dependent low-Q and high-Q resonances as a basic structure and embedded a rod resonator inside the DSRRs to achieve the polarization control of coupling. We also carried out a FDTD simulation to obtain the absorption spectra of the metamaterial. We confirmed that the analytical model is in agreement with numerical simulations and experimental result of THz time domain spectra measurement.
