Photoluminescence Measurement of Quantum Dot Photonic Crystal Cavity with Curved-microfiber

Abstract

An optical tapered microfiber is used to collect photoluminescence of semiconductor quantum dots in photonic crystals at cryogenic temperature (~8K). Curved-microfiber coupled system dramatically enhances collection efficiency by several times.
