Abstract

We have developed a unique interferometer readout device using linear silicon diode arrays. The readout method has been applied to construct a wavelength meter useful over the 0.4–1.1-μm spectral range with a resolution of 100 MHz. The use of diode arrays allows the wavelength meter to display and process the spectrum of both pulsed and cw laser sources.
