Real-time 80 × 200-Gb/s DWDM Transmission over 3600-km G.652.D Fiber with 6-THz Bandwidth C-Band Amplifiers

Abstract

We successfully demonstrate a record real-time transmission over 3600-km G.652.D fiber with at least 7.9-dB OSNR margins using commercially available 200-Gb/s PDM-QPSK transponders, which reserves more than 3-dB engineering link budget for each 100-km span.
