Abstract
An enhanced condition monitoring system for gas pipes using fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors is reported. The system can acquire temperature, strain, acoustic emission (AE) and vibration signals. Based on these physical parameters, the system can identify and distinguish events in real-time including crack, leakage and human disrupting activities like excavation.
