Abstract

We demonstrate an ultra-compact WDM demultiplexer with a small-footprint and dense-spacing using flexible one-dimensional (1D) photonic crystal nanobeam cavities (1D-PCNC). To the best of our knowledge, this is for the first time that a 1D-PCNC-based 8-parallel-port demultiplexer has been achieved with 0.36μm channel spacing and Q-factor >105.
