Abstract

Generation of x-ray laser in femtosecond domain is obtainable employing “all-optical” Thomson back scattering sell cine. In this scheme, a high-quality electron beam trapped at the sharp plasma density-transition is accelerated to high-energy in short distance by plasma wakefield, which then collides with a conn ter-propagating laser to produce backscattered ultra-short x-ray pulses.
