Abstract

An efficient three-dimensional finite-difference time domain (3D-FDTD) algorithm with anisotropic resolutions and periodic conditions is developed and optimized for analyses of photonic crystal fibers. The simulation program also allows the calculation based on SEM image of PCF to evaluate the effect of imperfection of the fiber structure.
