Abstract
The light-emission properties of quantum dots embedded in a photonic double-heterostructure nanocavity are investigated for the first time. Light emission peaks related to waveguide modes and the nanocavity are successfully assigned. By means of polarization-resolved resonant excitation of the waveguide mode, the nanocavity mode is clearly observed.
