Abstract

The stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in high-power Ytterbium-doped fiber laser with typical end pumping scheme is investigated. A special Yb-doped large-mode-area (LMA) double-cladding fiber is designed for enhance the SRS effect in continuous wave (CW) fiber laser. And a near 300nm ultra-broadband CW super-continuum source with maximum output power of 2.6W centered at 1400nm is demonstrated based the SRS in the Yb-doped fiber laser.
