Abstract

We report a study for the development of the technique of fluorescence tomography in living body for assays of biological function. Ultrasonic modulation of light using focused ultrasound is applied for imaging of fluorophore in light-scattering media. The embedded fluorescent microspheres in porcine muscle with 20 mm-depth was imaged.
