THz wave generation by THz region one-dimensional photonic crystal structure

Abstract

THz wave generation via optical rectification effect in THz region one-dimensional photonic crystal with ZnTe as a defect layer was experimentally demonstrated. Due to the photon localization effect in photonic crystal, intensity of THz radiation was enhanced.
