Nd3+: (La1−x,Bax)F3−x Grown via Micro-PD as New Vacuum Ultraviolet Scintillator and Potential Laser Material

Abstract

Nd3+: (La1xBax)F3x as new scintillator and laser material is explored using efficient micro-PD method. Fluorescence peak located at 175 nm is better compared to Nd3+:LaF3 due to broader fluorescence and shorter VUV transmission edge.
