Compensated dispersion-tuning of wavelength in a fiber ring using a semiconductor optical amplifier nonlinear loop mirror

Abstract

We demonstrate optical control of wavelength tuning over 19 nm in a fiber ring. A suppression ratio beyond 20 dB is obtained using the compensated dispersion-tuning scheme realized with a semiconductor optical amplifier nonlinear fiber loop.
