Photoacoustic Trace Gas Detection Using Pulsed Grazing-Incidence PPLN Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

A pulsed grazing-incidence PPLN OPO has been used in photoacoustic spectroscopy and trace gas analysis to yield 13 ppbV sensitivity in the detection of methane in nitrogen. Real time detection of methane in ambient air is demonstrated.
