Phase Locking of a Rapidly Frequency-chirped Laser

Abstract

We report on the phase locking of a rapidly frequency chirped laser to a local oscillator. Deterministic and stochastic noises affecting the chirp purity are suppressed, and phase locking occurs in less than 1 µs.
