Experimental results of the performance of an erbium-doped fiber sensor

Abstract

We present experimental results demonstrating the performance of an erbium-doped silica fiber as a remote temperature sensor. The sensor uses the change of the fluorescence intensity-ratio of two spectral-bands as a function of temperature.
