Evolutionary Programming Synthesis of Advanced Fiber Grating Devices

Abstract

An evolutionary programming method for synthesizing advanced fiber gratings is developed. Two practical design examples including dispersion-less FBGs with shorter grating-length and gain flattening LPGs for entire EDFA band are demonstrated for the first time.
