Low threshold frequency comb generator for 1600nm based on a pump-enhanced optical parametric oscillator

Abstract

The construction and operation of a frequency comb generator, based upon a pump-enhanced optical parametric oscillator is described. A pump threshold of 35mW at 800nm was observed and a comb spanning 60nm (7 THz) generated at 1600nm.
