Abstract

A 6W, 770nm source based on a 10W seeded erbium amplifier and second harmonic generation in PPKTP is demonstrated and used for over 2W continuum generation in holey fibers. 63% efficient conversion to 770nm is achieved and 98% of the coupled pump is converted to the 330nm wide continuum.
