Abstract

A continuous wave, solid-state laser emitting a high power, TEM00 green beam is of great interest since it matches the characteristics of Argon ion lasers with considerably higher efficiency. Intracavity and external frequency doubling of cw neodymium lasers have been deeply studied,1,2 The maximum power of a frequency doubled TEM00 beam reported to date is 6.5 W3, obtained by using external resonant cavity.
