Abstract
Diode laser linewidths have been successfully interpreted in tenus of the Henry theory of semiconductor laser noise1, which treats, through a set of Langevin rato equations, the linearized coupled laser equations. The population and intensity relaxation oscillations (RO) give rise to a damped oscillatory behavior in the field correlation function (PCF). The frequency and damping rate of diese oscillation aie predicted to increase linearly with the laser intensity while the spectral width increases linearly with the reciprocal intensity, in this communication, we report deviations from the predictions of the linear analysis of the rate equations.2
