Abstract
Bao et al.1 demonstrated frequency-varied conjugation wave (FVCW) generation by nondegenerate four-wave mixing (NFWM) for large- frequency separation in Fe:LiNbO3 at room temperature. In this paper, we present the results of NFWM experiments performed with doped LiNbO32-3 in the temperature range between 20 and 130 °C. The crystal was mounted in a small furnace with appropriate wide horizontal angular acceptance. The long-term stability of the system is better than 1 °C over a period of 1 h. Steady-state NFWM experiments1 were performed with a cw Ar laser at 488.0 nm (pump beam 2) and a cw He-Ne laser at 632.8 nm (pump beam 1 and probe beam).
