Abstract

Frequency stabilization of a diode laser under direct modulation is necessary for coherent optical communication. However, it is difficult to stabilize the frequency under modulation because of the inevitable sideband spectra. There are few reports about stabilization methods under direct modulation.1-5 Here we report the relationship between the modulation frequency shift and linewidth of the absorption reference used for stabilization.
