Abstract

ABSTRACT

He report the demonstration of efficient and high power operation of a new type Nd:YAG laser, multiple-facet end-pumped by laser diodes. A slab type Nd:YAG crystal forms zigzag folded laser cavity and the crystal was pumped by focused LD beans at each reflective points. A maximum cw TEMoo output power of 3.5W and multimode output power of 4.9W have been obtained at 11. 3W and 14W pumping power respectively.
