Abstract

Self-referencing phase holograms of atmospherically distorted laser beams, which can be correlated at several points along the path with field measurements of Cn2 are of value. In reproduction a distorted laser beam may be produced for testing and designing adaptive optics elements. Microprobe resistance thermometer measurements of temperature differences1 along the beam path are used to evaluate CT2 and Cn2 a measure of turbulence.
