Abstract

Monte Carlo (MC) simulations can model photon propagation in biological tissues, but often neglect effects from irregular boundaries. We developed a time-resolved MC-algorithm in MATLAB with arbitrarily-shaped surface mesh interfaces for quantitative fluorescence lifetime sensing.
