Abstract

Fiber Bragg gratings have got interest in sensing applications because of their immunity against electromagnetic fields , their small dimensions and also their ability for multiplexing of a large number of sensors in linear arrays, 2-dimensional sensor pads or complex sensor networks. Today several well engineered sensor interrogation systems for the analysis of a large number of Bragg grating sensor elements are available.
