Yb-free Er-doped 976 nm Pumped Large Mode Area Fiber Amplifier with 67 W of Output Power

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time the power-scaling of Yb-free Er-doped fiber amplifiers to levels of multiple 10W. The achieved output power of 67W is the highest value ever reported for an Yb-free Er-doped fiber-system.
