Abstract

We report a periodic poling technique, utilizing controlled domain flip-back, for high-fidelity patterning of ferroelectric materials. 6.4%/W-efficient cw second harmonic generation of 38 mW at 460 nm is demonstrated in 4-µm-period, 50-mm-length, 0.5-mm-thick periodically-poled lithium niobate.
