UNIDIRECTIONAL ENERGY TRANSFER FROM EXTRAORDINARILY TO ORDINARILY POLARIZED MODES IN He-IMPLANTED Cu:LiNbO3 WAVEGUIDES

Abstract

We report on dynamics of guided modes conversion, originated by photorefractive parametric scattering altered by Cu- doping in planar LiNb03 waveguides. It is established, that the gain factor of such a conversion is limited mainly by scattering of modal power from an optical waveguide.
