Abstract

The light scattering on the turbulence inhomogeneities of the atmosphere is the one of the main mechanism of distortion of the received optical signal. The random space-time changes of the atmospheric refractive index lead to distortion of the optical beam structure, the fluctuations of the intensity and phase of the optical wave are manifested, in particular, in blurring, shivering and flickering of the source images, as well as in the turbulent extinction of the mean received power of the signal.
