Abstract

We present an Optical Coherence Tomography system capable of high speed imaging using a piezoelectric optical fiber stretcher to produce the reference arm optical delay and a KLM Cr: Forsterite 1300 nm solid state laser as the optical source. The OCT system produces 3 × 2.2 mm images at four frames per second with an axial resolution of 15 µm and a signal to noise ratio of 112 dB.
