Abstract

A thermally-induced long-period grating on tapered polymer waveguide is designed and fabricated for realizing a broadband reconfigurable LP01-LP11a mode conversion. Our fabricated device shows a 10-dB bandwidth over the entire C+L band and with a maximum conversion efficiency of 99.99% at 1529.55 nm.
