Abstract

We have demonstrated a stable, self-starting erbium-doped fiber laser with low repetition rate by using of dual mode-locking mechanisms, nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) and semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM). Mode-locked pulse train with duration, sing pulse energy, and repetition rate of 0.95 ps, 2.44 nJ, and 305.7 kHz, respectively, has been obtained by cavity dispersion management.
