Reconfigurable nonblocking 5-port silicon thermo-optic optical router based on Mach-Zehnder optical switches

Abstract

We demonstrated a reconfigurable non-blocking five-port silicon thermo-optic optical router, which is composed of 8 Mach-Zehnder optical switches. The optical SNR is characterized and 50 WDM with 32 Gbps data transmission has been performed.
